CATWOLF: A creative collaboration

Origin Story

Cat, Moselle, and Moa’s unique adventurous souls and love for the mountains led them to Conway, New Hampshire.

Through a local group of friends both Cat and Moselle joined the Baird Hill Burners poi fire spinning group. In the summer of 2020 they played, learned, choreographed dances, and developed friendships. Cat was writing songs and playing acoustically. Moselle toured in her band Crushed Out for 8 years and since has been writing her own music and playing acoustic sets. Their friend Ariella introduced to them the idea of playing together.

“We met one day to play and have been flowing and growing creatively ever since!” Cat & Moselle played house concerts and wrote songs as a duo for a few months in the fall and winter. In the spring of 2021 they met Moa at a horseshoe tournament and began jiving as a group of friends. Moa came to join Cat & Moselle for a practice. She enjoyed the playful energy of the group and Cat & Moselle loved the fulfilling, traveling bass lines Moa brought into each song. As a budding idea Cat & Moselle asked Moa to join them for a photoshoot. Moa came with surprise and joy to find out she was in the band! They began playing local shows on May 29, 2021 at Ledge Brewing Company and began to grow a strong and intimate connection with those living and visiting Mount Washington Valley.

Moa invited Cat & Moselle to go record an album at her dad’s studio Hyllan Rekords in Norrköpping, Sweden. In October 2021 they spent 7 days in the studio and created 8 live recordings for their debut album. With gratitude to Magnus Hedegaard and Johan Ekfeldt for the opportunity and space to record, CATWOLF learned the recording process and recorded the album together as a band.

After another year of performing and writing they recorded their second album Woohoos and Go Go Boots! at Mojo Music Studio in Easton, NH with Anthony Cimino. Freshly amping up their style CATWOLF is building an electrifying message and sound you have yet to hear.

They are now playing shows regionally, booking upcoming tours and private events.

Together they enjoy the passion of creating their own music and they are delighted to share this musical adventure with you.
